Missions Committee

“To involve all QLC members in missions in big and small ways”

Overview
The QLC Mission Committee serves to nurture and engage our members in evangelism and disciple making in a cross-cultural setting primarily outside of Singapore. Besides encouraging the congregation through awareness activities, exposure trips, financial, administrative and prayer support, the committee also seeks to facilitate effective mission-related communication between the bigger body of Lutheran Churches of Singapore (LCS), QLC, missionaries and mission agencies around the region.

Short Term Mission Trips
Mission trips are real and practical ways for our city dwelling members to be exposed to God’s work in the world. Besides physical engagement and understanding, our members are often moved spiritually by God’s compassion for His needy people in the fields. The mission committee takes an active role in planning and coordinating trips that involve the church in both LCS mission work as well as independent QLC missions to Myanmar (Yangon), Nepal (Kathmanthu) and Sabah (Keningau). In the long term, QLC plans to adopt an unreached people group.
